The OleumTech® DH1 Base Unit Wireless Gateway plays an instrumental role in the OTC Sensor Network by wirelessly collecting critical process data from OTC nodes including Transmitters, I/O Modules, and other Gateways and storing the values in its 320-point Modbus register holding table. It also has the ability to generate output commands to onboard digital outputs.


In the OTC Sensor Network, multiple Gateways can be deployed in the same network, creating an advanced peer-to-peer networking infrastructure. Each Gateway in the network can have its own set of nodes that can be peered to other Gateways in a network. By taking advantage of its high scalability and communication flexibility, users can gain a competitive edge by reducing material, labor, and engineering costs.


The DH1 is equipped with onboard I/O comprised of 4x analog inputs (0-5 VDC), 2x discrete inputs, and 2x discrete outputs.

With the provided RS232/RS485 configurable Serial port, the DH1 can virtually interface with any third-party Modbus device. The DH1 can be configured as a Modbus Master, Modbus Slave, LevelMaster ASCII Slave, and/or ROC Link Master. Its RS485 port (RJ-45) can be utilized for I/O expansion or connecting to another Serial device.


The OTC Sensor Network is highly advanced enabling a DH1 or any other Gateway to take any input source or Modbus register and map it to an available output or to another register anywhere within its network. There are virtually no limitations as to how the OTC Network can be utilized for automation.


The DH1 Wireless Gateway is configured using BreeZ Software by OleumTech, provided free of charge.
